Botulinum toxin (Botox®) can also be used for excessive underarm sweating as well as other problem areas such as the palm of the hand.

Sweating is caused by nerve endings activating sweat glands located almost everywhere in the body. Excessive sweating is caused by overactivity of the sweat glands by increased nerve activity. Botox acts at the junction between the nerves and the sweat gland. It reduces the nerve conduction thereby dramatically reducing sweating in the selected problem areas.

This treatment lasts three to six months initially but with progressive treatments the effect of the botox lasts longer and longer allowing you to do the things you always wanted to without having to worry about unwanted moisture on your clothes and embarrassing situations.
