The world's most popular aesthetic treatment!

Anti-wrinkle injections

Anti-wrinkle inejctions, commonly known as 'Botox' have been performed cosmetically for over 30 years.

It is one of our most popular treatments and its popularity is not stopping.

Such an easy and safe way to improve the lines, especially in the upper face has made it our go to treatment from people in their late 20s up to their 60s.

These injections are usually used for the 'crows feet', frown lines, and the horizontal lines, however it can be used in the lower half of the face for other improvements such as the 'lip flip', 'chin dimpling' and 'turkey' bands on the neck.

How does Botox work?

Botox simply prevents the release of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine which causes the contraction of the muscles. One can still maintain natural movement/facial expressions, so long as the treatment is performed by an experienced medical practitioner.

Botox is very popular with both men and women and typically lasts 3 to 6 months. However, the recent study in the US now suggests patients receiving Botox treatment can reduce wrinkles with half as many sessions after 20 months.

The study also shows that these injections have a prophylactic effect with patients who first started receiving the treatment in their 20s and 30s are able to prevent dynamic wrinkles from even forming.

Botox can also be used for other problems such as excessive sweating/hyperhidrosis , bruxism/teethgrinding and for chronic migraines which don't respond to other conventional medical treatments.

The treatment

Firstly, Dr Goyal performs a consultation to assess the best and safest way to treat you. Everyone is different and we tailor each treatment for your needs and aesthetic goals.

After cleaning your skin, we use a tiny needle to perform the injections. There may be small areas of redness which usually settles within a few hours.

The effect usually starts working within a few days and takes 2 weeks to fully work. We usually follow you up after 2 weeks to assess the results and add any extra if required.

Botox usually lasts for 3-4 months but in some cases up to 6 months. The effect gives a smoothing of the lines and wrinkles and giving you the kind of glow you get when you’re very relaxed. We have also noticed that if you have repeat treatments, the effect improves over time

It’s crucial to highlight the fact that expectant and lactating mothers shouldn’t undergo this procedure. Moreover, individuals who have an allergic reaction to any medication that consists of Botulinum as one of its ingredients shouldn’t have a Botox treatment.
